During pride month, the Louisiana Governor signed a bill this week mandating the 10 commandments being posted in all public school classrooms. This is a great sight to see when it feels like Christians are losing the culture war more and more. Finally, someone decided to go on the offense.
Writer Lexi Lonas for The Hill writes, “The law signed by the state’s GOP governor has been blasted by civil liberties groups, which argue it infringes on the rights of students and blatantly ignores the separation of church and state. The issue will soon be headed to the courts, with organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) saying they plan to sue the state, and Gov. Jeff Landry vowing to defend the law”.
Well, I do not want to say that I am shocked that the historically Jewish founded and run organization, the ACLU, is trying to prevent the 10 commandments from being in public schools, but one would think that the people who originally wrote and followed the 10 commandments would be on board.
I guess the ACLU finds it more appropriate for teachers to groom children though LGBTQ+ merchandise, forced pronouns and literature, then for them to learn the 10 commandments.
