France Warns Citizens To Leave Iran As Tensions Rise

Several credible sources on X are reporting that the French Foreign Ministry is ordering its citizens to leave the Islamic “Republic” of Iran. This follows heightened tensions between western powers, Iran, and its proxies.

For the past week, the United States and the Houthis have been engaged in back and fourth fire after more than a year of the Houthis attacking commercial vessels and blocking the Red Sea’s trade routes.

Yesterday, Israel commenced ground operations in Gaza, renewing the war that has been raging on since October 7th, 2023. Hamas was stalling peace negotiations and refusing to give up hostages on reasonable terms. As a result the Houthis fired a missile at Israel which was then intercepted.

Now users like “BRICS News”, OSINT Defender and users associated with the account “Open Source Intel” have begun reporting that France is advising its citizens to stay far away from Iran.

Some have even begun speculating that France has intelligence that America is about to bring the Fourth of July to the Islamic Republic, though such speculation is unlikely.

The memo from the foreign ministry reportedly reads “Iran implements a deliberate policy of taking Western hostages and targets passing French nationals whom it accuses of espionage. Several French nationals are still being held in Iranian prisons in unworthy conditions, some of which fall within the definition of torture in international law.” Citing the dangers of hostage taking and espionage as the reason.

It goes on further, stating, “It is recommended that French nationals not go to Iran; for those who are already passing through, it is recommended to leave Iranian territory immediately due to the risks of arrest and arbitrary deten-tion.”
