There was an ISIS attack in New Orleans last night after the ball dropped which led 15 dead and dozens more injured.
Shamsud Din Jabbar is accused of driving a truck through a large crowd on bourbon street. When the truck crashed, he jumped out and exchanged fire with responding officers before being taken out. Jabbar reportedly also had IED, or improvised explosive devices in the vehicle.
The truck reportedly crossed over the U.S. Mexico border on November 16th in Eagle Pass. A high level law enforcement official tells Fox News that an ISIS flag was discovered inside the truck.
Initially an FBI official claimed that this is not being investigated as a terrorist attack, only for the federal government to turn that on its face later. Now, the lead agent says that the agency does not believe Jabbar acted alone and have asked the public for tips.
The bureau is probing ISIS in their investigation of the incident. There isn’t confirmation that the organization is responsible, but having an ISIS flag inside a vehicle used for a terrorist attack seems to be solid evidence.
Pro ISIS media outlets instructed Muslims living in Europe and the U.S. to carry out terrorist attacks on New Years, and New Years Eve.
