A Georgia judge convicted Laken Riley’s killer Jose Ibarra on Wednesday. Ibarra is an illegal immigrant who allegedly targeted Riley to rape her while she was out for a jog on her college campus.

Prosecutors say that when Riley refused, Ibarra crushed her skull. According to the heart monitor on Laken Riley’s Apple Watch, she fought for her life for almost 20 minutes before her heart stopped beating.

Ibarra was going guilty on 10 total counts in his bench trial. The counts included, one of malice murder, three counts of felony murder, one count of kidnapping, one count of aggravated assault with intent to rape, one count of aggravated battery, one count of hindering a 911 call, one count of tampering with evidence, and one count of being a “peeping Tom”

Ibarra audaciously pled guilty to every count and forced the world, including Riley’s family watch as he smugly sat in the court room while an attorney defended him.

So what’s next? Does Ibarra get deported or imprisoned? He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. The judge also allowed Riley’s family to read victim impact statements aloud in the courtroom.

The alien remained stone cold, showing no remorse or sign of emotion - as his victims family read heart wrenching statements.
