Reports have surfaced on X indicating that parents at Hillside Elementary in New York were sent an email informing them of a new curriculum for Kindergartners that implements lessons about gender identity.
The memo says “Hillside's core value of respect and aims to center discussions on gender identity.” The new curriculum seeks to aim at desensitizing young children to the idea of sex change in an effort to normalize it in their moldable minds.
The memo continued on, “The students will learn and discuss that there is a lot you can't tell about a person by simply looking at them. The students will look at pictures of children and talk about what they notice and what they think they know about the children just from the pictures.”
It seems the lessons aim to teach the children not to use gendered pronouns on people who appear of a certain sex. “Using their observations, we will then take the opportunity to introduce vocabulary to describe characters of different identities (cisgender, transgender, and non-binary) in a developmentally appropriate way,” it said.
The objectives of the lessons are reportedly as follows;
• Identity is who you are.
• People express their identity in different ways.
• Identity includes your gender and the pronouns that you use.
• All people should be treated with respect since there is no right or wrong way to be any gender.
• As we learn and grow, the words we use to describe our gender identity can grow too.
• All kinds of people live in Hastings and bring value to our community.
These young children are not, or at least should not be undergoing gender transition - and thus will not be interacting with peers who are transgender. This, is the long game.
The school system is taking advantage of the children’s malleable minds - normalizing gender transition, and teaching them to ignore the biological fact that men are men, and women are women.
