Del Rio and Eagle Pass Texas are once again under an invasion of non-citizens illegally immigrating over the U.S. Mexico border according to journalists on X.
Ali Bradley said, “TX: Large groups are once again crossing in the Del Rio Sector in the Eagle Pass area—Despite Governor Abbott’s efforts under [Operation Lone Star] —Traffic is returning to the state.
Eagle Pass and Del Rio have specifically been known to be hot spots for border crossings in recent years. Del Rio is a very small border town in Southwest Texas. In 2022 the population was only 34,000 people.
These large influxes of illegal immigrants, largely en route to San Antonio devastate the local community. In Kinney County for example, according to Texas Department of Public Safety data, criminal arrests of illegal immigrants exceed the total population of the county.
Local officials warn Today Is America that it hasn’t just exceeded the population but that it has “well exceeded” the population a long time ago. It’s worth noting that the TDPS reports on arrests are based on UCR data, which Kinney County doesn’t report every single month.
Bradley continued, “Sources tell me traffic moved west when the governor ramped up efforts and seized Shelby park while stringing razor wire all along the border—So NM, AZ and CA became the paths of least resistance…”
Furthermore, she stated “Now with the Sinaloa cartel battling on the other side of Arizona and California, sources say the cartel is once again pushing people into Texas—Many of them are from special interest countries which is not typical for Texas.”
Due to the mass influx, Today Is America journalist Cam Higby will head out to Del Rio to film a documentary on the 17th of October. The documentary will be posted to our website before the election.
Chris Olivarez reported that Texas Troopers recovered 25 unaccompanied children and made 29 total trespass arrests on the 8th of October.
He said “NEW: This morning, [Texas Department of Public Safety] Troopers apprehended a group of 101 illegal immigrants in Eagle Pass. Troopers made 29 arrests for criminal trespass & recovered 25 unaccompanied children, ages 3 to 15.”
Next week, Today Is America will get to the bottom of the border issue in Del Rio and Eagle Pass. Stay tuned.
