Tuesday, President Trump announced that he has chosen Doctor Mehmet Oz to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services. The muckraking has already begun as left wing outlets drag Dr. Oz through the mud.
NBC has belittled Oz by referring to him as a “TV Personality” in their headline about the nomination. Oz however, is far more than a TV Personality.
After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in biology, Oz went to medical school at the University of Pennsylvania school of medicine where he acquired his doctorate. In the same year he obtained his MD, Oz also received an MBA from Penn Wharton.
With his medical degree, Oz became a board certified heart sergeon and has preformed numerous heart surgeries. Once he was finished learning and performing himself, he went on to teach how to preform surgery at Columbia where he served as a professor of surgery.
Oz has co-authored over 400 research papers, books, and medical chapters. He also holds several patents related to heart surgery techniques and devices.
However, from 2009-2022 he hosted a syndicated talk show on health and wellness, and appeared regularly on Oprah. For that reason, we can just forget about all of his colossal accomplishments and reduce him to nothing more than a “TV Personality.”
Oz is not only qualified for the job that Trump has nominated him to, he is extremely over-qualified.
