Trump Tower Attack: What We Know About The Attacker
FOX 9

The driver of the Tesla Cyber Truck that exploded outside of the Las Vegas Trump Tower has been identified. The assailant was 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger from Colorado Springs.

Livelsberger is reportedly a former Green Barrett who served at Fort Bragg at some point during his career. Shamsud Din Jabbar, responsible for the New Orleans ISIS attack on New Year’s Day was also stationed at Fort Bragg.

Denver7’s Tony Kovaleski confirmed that the pair did in fact serve at the same military base, but it’s unclear if he was speaking of Bragg, or somewhere else.

Livelsberger’s wife is alleged to have posted extensively about her resentment for President-Elect Trump, possibly even referring to him as “White ISIS”. In posts during the 2016 cycle, she expressed support for Bernie Sanders.

The Cyber Truck was loaded with flammable and explosive materials such as gas cans, camping fuel, and fireworks. Elon Musk confirmed in X that the explosion was not the result of a defect with the vehicle. Musk even noted that the truck directed the explosion upward rather than out, preventing even the lobby glass of the building from breaking. The incident is not being investigated as a terror attack.
