A former senior advisor to President Barack Obama is now charged with child sex offenses in the UK according to the Daily Mail.
Rahamim 'Rami' Shy, is charged with child sex offenses in addition to two category C indecent images of a child and possessing a prohibited image of a child.
He was an advisor to Obama and Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State. He assisted in the government's strategy to combat Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
Primarily, he assisted the treasury department combat financial terrorism between 2008 and 2014. He worked with foreign governments to impose sanctions on hostile governments. He was even, at one point deployed to Afghanistan to provide expertise to the International Security Assistance Force under NATO.
Shy lives in New Jersey, and is a U.S. Citizen but was charged by Bedfordshire police in late February, and has now appeared in court. He was not asked to enter a plea, and is awaiting his next hearing in June.
