Trump has recently appointed Pam Bondi to be his Attorney General following Matt Gaetz withdrawal from his nomination from the same position.
Bondi received a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Florida, and then her Doctorate in Law from Stetson University, fulfilling the baseline qualifications for the position, but her resume doesn't end there.
Just out of college, he served as an assistant state prosecutor and spokeswoman from 1991 to 2010. She handled cases involving homicide, drugs, and domestic violence.
From 2011 to 2019 she was Florida’s first female attorney General, and she focused on the opioid crisis and human trafficking while making legal challenges to federal policies. Here, we see overlays in interests with Donald Trump, who spent a considerable amount of time on both issues. Trump has time and time again expressed his discontent with the opioid crisis, and while President provided more $6 billion to fight it.
Bondi served as a defense attorney in Trump’s first impeachment trial, which concluded with an acquittal. Afterward, she led the legal division of the America First Policy Institute.
She has now been nominated to be the third female Attorney General of the United States by the man who allegedly hates strong intelligent women.
